Tenet Healthcare Corporation announced today that its 2009 annual shareholder meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, beginning at 8 a.m. Central Time, at the Westin Galleria Hotel, located at 13340 Dallas Parkway, in Dallas.
The business of the meeting includes: the election of 10 directors for terms of one year each; the ratification of the selection of the company’s independent registered public accountants for the year ending Dec. 31, 2009; a vote on a shareholder proposal, if properly presented; and the transaction of any other business that may properly come before the meeting. The deadline for submitting shareholder proposals and nominations for directors at this year’s meeting has now passed.
Shareholders of record as of March 16, 2009 will be entitled to vote at the meeting. A notice of meeting and proxy materials will be mailed to shareholders and filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission by the end of the month.
