Home nursing services company LHC Group Inc. said Thursday it entered a joint venture with Cape Fear Valley Health System to provide services.
Cape Fear Valley Health System, located in Fayetteville, N.C., is a 765-bed regional health system that includes five hospitals and serves a six-county region of Southeastern North Carolina. It has more than 935,000 patients annually. Revenue for the most recent 12-month period reached $5.3 million, LHC said.
The joint venture is effective Oct. 1. It is not expected to add materially to LHC's earnings in 2008, the company said.
Shares of LHC closed at $28.57 Wednesday.
