Biotechnology companies shares up at the close of trading

Shares of some top biotechnology companies were up at the close of trading: Amgen rose $.30 or .5 percent, to $58.89. Biogen Idec rose $.82 or 1.7 percent, to $50.50. Celgene rose $.15 or .2 percent, to $60.46. Genentech rose $1.02 or 1.2 percent, to $87.53. Gilead Sciences rose $1.06 or 2.4 percent, to $45.75.
